Solution-Focused Talk Therapy

At She is Resilience, we specialize in helping anxious women of color and LGBTQ+ individuals reclaim their voice, set boundaries, strengthen confidence in their decisions, and trust themselves again.

We use Solution‑Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) — a strengths‑based, future‑oriented approach that helps you move from overthinking to confident action with clarity and intention.

Helping You Reclaim Your Voice & Confidence

You’re successful, driven, and high-functioning. You always show up and look put together—but inside, your mind never stops racing. Your heart feels heavy. You second-guess, overthink, and people-please, leaving little space for yourself. You feel disconnected from your own voice. Lately, you’ve been up at night thinking, “I give so much to others and I’ve forgotten myself.”

Even with your accomplishments: patterns of overthinking, hesitation, or self-doubt quietly influence your choices, relationships, and sense of self. You may notice challenges such as:

Struggling to Communicate Clearly in Relationships: You feel misunderstood or find it hard to express your needs and feelings.

Difficulty Maintaining Healthy Boundaries: You often put others’ needs first, leaving little space for your own.

Repetitive Behavior Loops: You find yourself overthinking, second-guessing, or holding back from taking confident action.

Emotional & Cognitive Patterns:

  • Chronic overthinking

  • Second-guessing decisions

  • Mental replaying of conversations

  • Difficulty trusting instincts

  • Fear of making the “wrong” choice

  • Perfectionism before action

Behavioral Patterns:

  • People-pleasing

  • Over-functioning in relationships

  • Difficulty saying no

  • Avoids conflict by silencing yourself

  • Talks through issues repeatedly without action

So maybe you're wondering now: "How will therapy treatment look?"

At She Is Resilience, we use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to help you move from overthinking into confident, aligned action. My approach is trauma-informed, meaning we recognize how past experiences can impact present behaviors—but we focus on your strengths, goals, and what is and isn't working in your life right now. Together, we create a safe, supportive space to:

  • Reclaim your voice

  • Set and maintain boundaries

  • Make decisions with confidence

  • Take action that aligns with your values
