Giovonni is a Virginia native.  She originally wanted to become a registered nurse but one day she came across the field of social work. It ignited a passion from within. The values and missions of becoming a social worker aligned most with Giovonni’s soul purpose. After graduating from Virginia Commonwealth University and Catholic University of America, Giovonni has been determined with her journey of becoming a therapist.

Giovonni is an energetic, creative, and intuitive licensed clinical social worker.  She takes pride in being a writer, poet, and speaker. She finds joy in providing a sacred space that allows adults to connect, heal, and regulate their emotional and nervous system. With intention, dignity, and humor (when appropriate), Giovonni utilizes a therapeutic approach that integrates mindfulness, meditation, shadow work and solution focused therapy modalities.

 

​ While all are welcome, Giovonni specializes in working with women of color & LGBTQ+ folx experiencing anxiety and OCD to reclaim their voice, set boundaries, find confidence in their decisions, and trust themselves.

Giovonni envisions a world that doesn't end in shackles and chains, but begins with hope and freedom.
